I have experience of working with sexual abuse, chronic health, menopause, anxiety, empty nest, aging issues, relationship issues, boundaries, neurodiversity and self esteem issues. I am a neurodiversity friendly counsellor with personal lived experience of both autism and Adhd and the many associated conditions. I am also a REWIND certified practitioner. I am currently studying CBT and sometimes bring this into my work.

The Wounded Healer

I am also what we call a “wounded healer” in that I have been where you are. I have experienced sadness and grief, confusion and hurt: mentally and physically. I have spent time in counselling and in training to ensure that I have processed my past and am at my very best place mentally and physically so that I can help you to do the same. I strongly believe that we all have the power to change if we want to. My lived experience gives me a deeper depth of understanding that I bring with me in my role as your counsellor.

I like to work holistically, this just means that we look at you as a whole, your thoughts, your feelings and the impact these have on your health, both mentally and physically.
